At the age of 17, young Raimondo left Smyrna, his hometown in Western Turkey and one of the most important cities in the Mediterranean. The year was 1918 and like many other immigrants, he left his hometown searching for better opportunities in the New World, leaving behind a shredded Europe in the aftermath of the First World War. 6y5c42

He set off to Brazil where, overcoming challenges, he quickly became involved with the coffee trade in the Paraíba Valley. His commitment and ion for coffee, which was the largest Brazilian export product at the time, led him to become a great specialist in the coffee sector after less than 15 years in the country.

In 1933, Raimondo was hired by Fincoffee Company, where over the years he gained extensive experience in the green coffee international export sector.

In the following years, Raimondo ed on to his son Aron not only his knowledge but also his ion for coffee. Keeping up with his father’s entrepreneurial spirit, in 1969 Aron acquires Comexim, a coffee trade company founded in 1960 and turns it into a thriving family business. Currently the company is managed by the third and fourth generations of the family, who are taking forward Raimondo’s legacy and making Comexim one of the major Brazilian exporters.

    The third generation of the family s the management team and gives new momentum to the company, installing a coffee grain purchase office in Ouro Fino (MG) and renting a warehouse with a monthly capacity of sorting six thousand 60 kg bags.

    As part of the Group's activities diversification, Comexim opens its own transport company.

    A year of many achievements for the company: record sales, with a 50% increase over the last 5 years, and a 35% export record of coffee awarded with sustainability certifications.

    Comexim starts operating in the specialty coffee market, investing in hiring and graduating professionals with Q-Grader Certification to meet the constant changes in this increasingly growing market.

    Following the trend of getting closer to production centers, Comexim opens a modern purchasing unit in Varginha, MG, Brazil.

    Significant warehouse expansion from 150,000 stored bags to 250,000 bags.
    The storage area was increased by 2,900 m2, going from 7,214 m2 to 10,114 m2. Start of the "WMS" project, a warehouse management system that allows greater agility in internal movements, as well as greater accuracy in lot information, location and stock balances.
    Comexim celebrates its 60th anniversary with great pride for having contributed to the growth of the coffee export market.

Preventing any form of deforestation in protected areas and encouraging reforestation in degraded areas.

Guiding partners about the impacts caused by hunting, fishing, logging, extraction, capturing endangered species, deforestation, and the practice of burning, respecting the National Environmental Legislation in force.
